Three of us visited Floridita to make a change from our usual venue of Boisdale's. In true Conran style, it is cavernous downstairs, with a sweeping staircase down into the bowels of the building, leading to a very big and inviting bar with comfy seats and serving up delicious cocktails.
There is a separate area for the live band, which tends to be Cuban and have residence for one month, playing nightly until they are replaced by the next one.
Service was very good and we were treated like VIPs (for no good reason at all - I think we just had a very good waitress). Food was OK to good. It was a couple of weeks ago that I went and I can't remember exactly what I had so it couldn't have been wow.
Floridita is one of the few restaurants in London (until July 07) where you can enjoy a cigar post dinner..and that's just what we did.
I would definitely go back again.
