cost per head=£45.00 On a visit to London, my husband surprised me with a meal at this Gordon Ramsay restaurant.

What a wonderful experience. From the moment that we stepped through the door to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. The restaurant is elegant and contemporary, without being stuffy and the service was superb.

We had the set lunch, which was very competitively priced at £45.00 each for three courses - not the sort of prices that you would expect in a celebrity chef's restaurant. I had a gorgeous saffron risotto to start, followed by braised ox cheek in red wine, the meat was cooked to perfection. A wonderful dessert of banana parfait finished off my meal.

The wine list is very impressive but slightly on the expensive side, but if it's a special occasion, as ours was you don't mind so much.

It's a shame we didn't see the man himself, but the occasion was perfect nonetheless and i would thoroughly recommend Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
