We squeezed another trip to Boisdale in before the smoking ban comes into effect on July 1st. We do enjoy the post dinner cigar! Ranald (the owner) has created a roof terrace area out the back for smokers post ban but it won't be the same.
We had the usual fayre - haggis starters which were heavy on haggis but light on tatties, all washed down with a noggin of whisky. The starters arrived within 5 mins of ordering which was way too quick and annoying, thus I gave service speed a 2/5.
Steaks for main were good but not great. No pudding or dessert - just whisky and cigars and sit back and watch the jazz band, who were excellent.
Bill came to £100 each which seems to be the norm at Boisdale nowadays. I still rate it as one of my favourite restaurants in London. |
